Chess Doping


Yes, chess doping. What is this world coming to? A Ukranian chess player, Vassily Ivanchuk, has been banned from playing in World Chess Federation events for 2 years due to his refusal to take a drug test. Yes, you read that right. Chess players do take drug tests. This is because the WCF has been trying to make chess an Olympic sport for at least a decade, and Olympic sports must conform to Olympic rules, which include mandatory drug testing.
